JOB SUMMARY: The Accounting Staff will prepare, record, and pay invoices for the St. Croix Casino Danbury and St. Croix Casino Hertel Express, and any other duties as assigned.

 

QUALIFICATIONS: Native American preference. Prefer two (2) year work-related equivalency. Good communication and organizational skills are required. An accounting background is desired.

 

PHYSICAL, MENTAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS: Able to work with figures and numbers. Ability to understand accounting software and procedures. Must be accurate, organized and possess a high degree of honesty and integrity. Confidentiality is a MUST! Must be able to occasionally lift up to 30 pounds.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Prepare invoices to meet the guidelines of the policies and procedures. Enter approved invoices into accounting system. Submit invoices to the Accounts Payable Supervisor for review. Do a weekly check run and any manual checks when necessary. Keep records of all transaction runs. File checks for all entities. Balance general operating and accounts payable to the General Ledger on a monthly basis. Reconcile all St. Croix Casino Danbury and St. Croix Casino Hertel Express accounts payable accounts on a monthly basis. Ensure W9’s are on file for all vendors. Issue tax exemption forms when necessary. Maintain a good rapport with all vendors and employees from all entities. File/Work with W2G.
